San Juan Islands Weekend Wine Tasting

Learn the secrets of wine tasting from Sommalier Dawn Smith

This is a great cruise for anyone with a sense of adventure and a desire to learn about and enjoy some great wines. We'll be joined by Seattle Magazine's 2009 sommelier of year and wine buyer for the Barrio Restaurant and Purple Cafe and Wine Bar, Dawn Smith. She will be on hand to give informal and relaxed lessons on wine tasting and paring while we cruise through the San Juan Islands. You'll also have a chance to visit one of the local San Juan Islands wineries to try out your new-found skills.

We'll spend two nights and three days exploring the San Juan Islands on board the David B. Each night we'll anchor in a different cove or bay where you can and enjoy hiking, kayaking, and relaxing. You'll be spoiled with delicious gourmet meals created for you by the ship's Chef, Christine, on her wood-burning cook stove, paired with wines that Dawn has chosen.
